WASHINGTON — CTI America Corp., a division of Ontario, Canada-based Circuit Tech Inc., will open a new manufacturing facility in Maryland.

CTI America makes precision printed circuit boards. It says it will invest $10 million in the facility and employ at least 80 people.

The company is working with the Maryland Department of Commerce to finalize a location, which it says will be up and running within the next 12 months.

“We are looking forward to taking advantage of Maryland’s strategic location and wealth of companies in the cybersecurity, aerospace and defense, and life sciences industries, which will open up new markets and partners for us,” said CTI America executive Tom Ryan.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan made the announcement Tuesday as part of a trade mission in Canada. Hogan is on the joint trade mission with Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser.
